This Privacy Policy explains how MidlandsEVHub(“we”, “us”, “our”) operating at https://midlandsevhub.co.uk collects, uses, and protects personal data in compliance with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
1. Who We Are
MidlandsEVHub is an independent EV charger installer directory serving the Midlands region. We are the data controller for information collected through this website. Contact us at privacy@midlandsevhub.co.uk for any data-related enquiries.
2. Data We Collect
a) Lead Enquiry Form
When you submit an installer enquiry via our contact or lead form, we collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
- Postcode or service area
- A description of your installation requirements
- Timestamp and source URL of the submission
Purpose: To match you with relevant local installers and, where you opt in, to follow up with relevant offers. Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) and, where applicable, consent.
Lead data is stored securely in our database. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your enquiry with installers shortlisted for your job solely for the purpose of fulfilling your request.
b) Newsletter Sign-Up
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and will send you periodic updates on OZEV grant changes and Midlands EV news. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. Legal basis: Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) UK GDPR; Regulation 22 PECR).
c) Analytics
We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand site traffic (page views, referrers, device types). No personally identifiable information is stored in analytics.
3. Cookies & Google AdSense
We use cookies and similar technologies. On your first visit, we display a consent banner in accordance with PECR. Cookies are categorised as follows:
- Strictly necessary cookies – required for the site to function (e.g., session management). These do not require consent.
- Advertising cookies (Google AdSense) – only loaded after you grant consent. Google AdSense uses cookies to serve personalised or contextual advertisements. Lead enquiry data is retained for up to 24 months or until you request deletion. Newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregate, non-identifiable form.

6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party processors:
- Supabase – database hosting (EU region). Governed by a Data Processing Agreement.
- Vercel – website hosting. Processes request logs temporarily.
- Google AdSense / Google LLC – advertising network. Only activated with your consent.
7. Children
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be flagged on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
